Our Story
We are passionate advocates of the Southern Forests region. With pride, Hidden River Estate showcases the local produce and wines grown and made here. The rhythm of the seasons influence how we cook, how we farm and how we live in this extraordinary, beautiful place.
Rustic beginnings
Hidden River was a blank canvas of farmland when it was bought by the previous owners in 1994. They planted a vineyard, started running a little cellar door and over time, a café. Many people will remember the restored tram carriage which was used as the dining room for the café and overlooked the playground. From the beginning Hidden River was unique and full of character.

In the restaurant we want to showcase not only our own wine and produce but are dedicated to working with and promoting other local and Western Australian businesses. We believe in working together, supporting and lifting each other up so we grow as one. In our restaurant and cellar door you will experience local and seasonal produce and drink our own wines, as well as our neighbours.
